New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test
(NYSESLAT)
NYSESLAT Information:
The New York State Board of Regents has established learning standards for all English language learners attending New York State schools. The NYSESLAT is designed to measure the English language proficiency of students who have been identified as English language learners.
NYSESLAT 2013 Dates:
Speaking: Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - Friday, May 17, 2013
Listening, Reading and Writing: Monday, May 6, 2013 - Friday, May 17, 2013
*****New York State gives us 1 month to complete the various sections of the exam.
The test does not last the whole month.*****
For the speaking exam, your child will be given a specific date and time for their test. It is only once and lasts about 20 minutes each.
For the listening, reading and writing sections, they will be given on different days - usually 3 days in a row.
